Baggage has always been a major inconvenience for most travellers. Now, due to COVID, decentralized (off-airport) processes are key to the industry's recovery. Travellers are now more than ever concerned about their safety and are very much aware of the fact that long waiting lines and over-crowded terminals will inrease their exposure to COVID-19. At the same time travellers are instructed by both airlines and authorities to arrive early, show PCR and/or vaccination documents, collect their boarding pass at the check-in desk and check-in bags in lieu of cabin baggage. The measurements though clear will unavoidably lead to even longer waiting lines creating sincere concerns and even fear amonst travellers. The Bagpoint baggage services have been developed to address this issues.

The Bagpoint Ecosystem

Our unique technology ecosystem enables fully decentralized, contactless baggage check-in & drop-off services, allowing airlines to reduce waiting lines at airport check-in counters to a minimum. Bagpoint is the first in the world to offer a complete decentralized baggage services portfolio and has designed and developed its own self-service bag drop kiosks for use in Bagpoint HUB locations. The kiosks are manufactured by our partner in The Netherlands.

Bagpoint Franchisees can work with locally contracted logistic partners. The Bagpoint ecosystem provides a comprehensive order dispatch back-office application combined with our Bagpoint Driver app

Airline Partners

A vital component for checking-in bags off-airport is the connection with our Airliner Partner’s DCS. Connection is quick and easy. Once connected, the bagpoint services can be used throughout the entire airline network.

Bookings can be made via a customizable airline landing page, bagpoint.com, Bagpoint Counter app in a Bagpoint HUB location or via the Bagpoint mobile app.

The Bagpoint Franchise

In order to be able to expand the Bagpoint decentralized baggage check-in and drop-off services, Bagpoint has set-up a franchise formula that allows contracted franchisees to set-up and exploit the Bagpoint services under the Bagpoint brand, using the Bagpoint ecosystem and all its hard- and software.

Local logistics

Contracted Bagpoint Franchisees are responsible for transporting baggage orders as booked by travellers world-wide and in their franchised area. A booking made via Bagpoint, is a contract
between traveller and the franchisee of the country where the services is consumed.

In order to comply to safety and security rules and regulations of the aviation industry and local authorities, Bagpoint has defined local rules of engagement for our franchisees and their drivers to adhere to.

GDPR compliance

Bagpoint is fully secure and GDPR compliant and only requires data elements which are strictly necessary for the execution of the baggage service as booked by the traveller and for which permission has been granted.

On board CCTV monitoring

Bagpoint requires franchisees to install CCTV equipment in each transport vehicle to prevent unauthorized access.
